Trevor Carter is the Founder and Managing Principal of Evoterra, where he defines the company's strategic vision, leads corporate growth initiatives, and manages relationships with private equity partners and institutional capital sources.
A graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in Construction Management, Trevor has led development and commercial projects across California, Utah, Nevada, Hawaii, Colorado, and Arizona. He founded his first real estate development company in 2008 and established Evoterra in 2020 to develop high-quality multifamily communities throughout the Western United States.
With more than 16 years of executive leadership experience in commercial and multifamily real estate, Trevor has directed every phase of the development lifecycle, including investment strategy, deal structuring, capital formation, land acquisition, entitlement, site development, construction financing, project execution, and asset stabilization. Throughout his career, he has developed hundreds of residential units and led the development, construction, or transaction of more than $215 million in commercial and multifamily real estate assets.
Alex, Vice President of Construction at Evoterra, oversees all construction operations, ensuring excellence from start to finish. With over a decade of experience, he specializes in managing complex projects and optimizing processes. Alex's background spans specialty government contracting, the renewables sector, and multifamily development.
Jeff Knighton is a licensed architect and founder of Knighton Architecture, based in Provo, Utah. He holds a degree in Urban Planning from Brigham Young University and a Master's degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon, along with a graduate certificate in Ecological Design.
Since founding Knighton Architecture, Jeff has built an established practice serving clients across residential, multifamily, and commercial projects, with a reputation for strong client relationships and hands-on involvement from concept through construction. His experience includes navigating zoning and entitlement processes, managing design and construction budgets, and working directly with municipal planning staff to advance project approvals.
Building on this foundation, Jeff has expanded into real estate development and investment, participating as a General Partner in ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects. His architectural background provides direct insight into project feasibility, design, and construction risk — expertise he applies alongside his development partners in underwriting and executing these deals.
Jeff lives in Utah with his wife and five children.
